But maybe my family (I grew up in NW Alabama) developed a tolerance for the toxins, as this was a daily dish in Spring. We never ate the berries, of course, but did use them to dye doll clothes .. and each other. <br /><br />It was quite a surprise to see it growing near Soil Born this Spring.
